Nadezhda Georgievna Babkina (born March 19, 1950, Black Yar, Astrakhan region) is a Soviet and Russian folk and pop singer, a folk song researcher, a teacher. Founder and artistic director of the ensemble "Russian Song" (since 1974) and the theater "Russian Song". People's Artist of the RSFSR (1992). Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize (1978). Member of the party "United Russia" since 2001. Professor, Doctor of Art Studies (1996) of the International Academy of Sciences (San Marino). Honorary academician of the International Academy of Information, Information Processes and Technologies (MAIIPT, 1996).
